Theodore G. "Ted" White
1931-2011
Theodore G. "Ted" White, age 79, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2011.
Ted retired from Monsanto after 31 years. He served in the U.S. Navy as an Air Traffic Controller, valuing that time of his life greatly. He was an avid golfer, being known to "shoot his age" quite frequently.
He was preceded in death by his parents,
James J. and Edna Haynes Noel; sister, Jane Bouler.
Ted is survived by his four children, Noel Anthony (Abby) White of Texas, Toby White of Chumuckla, Wendy (Thomas) Watts of Atmore, and Tracy (Charles) Burgess of Jay; grandchildren, Jessica White, Kendall (Kat) White, Kendrick (Amber) White, Kelley Nunemaker, Christina (John) Brown all of Texas, Kevin (Melissa) Lovett of Pace, Colton White of Chumuckla, Jansen Burgess and Taylor Burgess of Jay; 3 great grandchildren; sister, Christina (Michael) Harrison; mother of his children, wife of over 20 years and continued loyal friend, Elsie White; his faithful companion, his dog "girlfriend" Susie-Q; and many nieces, nephews cousins, and friends.
He was very passionate about his family and loved his grandkids with all his heart. He instilled in us integrity, loyalty and most of all love. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm, Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at the Lewis Funeral Home Pace Chapel with Rev. Curtis Powell, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Elizabeth Chapel Community Cemetery. Lewis Funeral Home Pace Chapel directing. Family will receive friends from
6 to 8pm on Monday, September 26, 2011 at Lewis Funeral Home Pace Chapel.
