Marcel Edward Gauthier, age 36 of Santa Rosa County, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014.

Marcel was born and raised in Santa Rosa County and resided here for most of his life. He was the owner of Ledbetter Construction Company and had been a licensed residential builder since 2005. He took pride in his work and his reputation. Marcel's first love was his family and following in a close second was his hunting dogs. Marcel's membership in many clubs included: South Eastern Dog Hunters Association, Blackwater Foxhunters Association, Allentown Kennels and Santa Rosa Foxhunters Association. Marcel loved to hunt and made many great longtime friends while enjoying this pastime.  OBITUARY AT LEWIS FUNERAL HOME WEBSITE.

Marcel was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, uncle, friend and hunter! He leaves many to cherish the memory of a life taken too soon.

Sanders Courtney 1941 - 2014

Sanders Courtney age 73 of New York Community Chumuckla, FL passed on the 10th day of February 2014. He was a plumber most of his life until he retired. He loved fishing, driving around, going to see friends and sitting around the campfire with everyone. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivory and Woodrow Courtney; sisters, Sady (Arnold) Enfinger Maxine Courtney, Evelyn Lowery, and Juanita Bush; brothers, Gene (Virtis) Courtney, Wilson Courtney and Alton Adkisson. He is survived by his loving, devoted wife of 40 years, Joyce Courtney; son, Lamanuel (Kandy) Courtney; daughter, Elizabeth (Tim) Harrelson; grandchildren, Ashley, Sara, Makayla, Cordale and Jackson; one great-grandchild on the way, Lucas Barber; sister, Emmagene and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2014 from 12:00-1:00 pm at Jay Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 pm with Brother Bobby Carnley officiating services. Burial will follow at Pine Level Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Jonathan Scott, George Tedder, Bobby Adkisson, Mike Adkisson, Daniel Madden, and Jerome Lail. Honorary pallbearers are Jonathan Holland and Wayne Hawthorne. The family would like to thank Roxanne Dunsford and all the Hospice nurses. They were very sweet and informative. They did a remarkable job. They would also like to thank Dr. David Smith; he has been there for us through everything. A special thanks to Angela, one of the nurses, she went beyond the means of a nurse. Angela loved listening to stories about him and the family. She always made sure he was comfortable and she would make us laugh to keep us more at ease about the situation. Jay Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Morgan Baker, 96 of Allentown, FL passed away February 10, 2014 at home.
Morgan was born in Loango, AL on Oct. 30, 1917:
He was a retired farmer and a former chairman of the ASC committee. He served on the Board of Directors for the Florida Farm Bureau and was the first farm manager at the Florida Experiment Station. Morgan was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for 56 years and was a Deacon Emeritus. He lived in Santa Rosa County most of his life and was also a member of the Scratch Ankle Camping Club.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Edna

Franklin Roosevelt Enfinger

Obituary for Franklin Enfinger

Franklin Enfinger, 80 of Pace, Florida passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2014 after a lengthy illness. Frank grew up in Pace and graduated from Chumuckla School in 1951. He served four years in the U.S. Air Force. He then worked at Air Products for 20 years before going into business for himself. He owned several businesses and operated them until his failing heath forced him to retire in 1995.
Frank loved other people,and was known for his sense of humor and his willingness to help anyone in need.
Frank was preceded in death by his mother Hazel Enfinger, his father Francis Enfinger, and numerous brothers and sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Gwendolyn: his four children: Frankie (Julie) Enfinger, Anne (Doyce) Lockett, Darrell Enfinger, Denise (Mike) Fritz; ten grandchildren and ten Great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be deacons of Wallace Baptist Church. The Family would like to thank all the medical staff who cared for him during his illness.
Visitation will be Saturday February 15, 2014 at Wallace Baptist Church 1-2PM. Funeral services will follow at Wallace Baptist Church Saturday February 15,2014 at 2PM. Burial at Elizabeth Chapel Cemetery.

Vernie Ray Barnes, (74) of Pensacola, FL passed away and went to be with the Lord on January 27 2014. Mr. Barnes was born on 1 September 1939 in Chumuckla, Fl

Ray was preceded in death by his father Vernie (Son) Barnes and his mother Evelyn Miller Barnes also of Chumuckla, FL. He is survived by his three children; Stanley Warnock, Scott & Dale Barnes.

Ray Barnes retired from the Escambia County Sherriff's Office and also served proudly in the US Army.

Honorary pallbearers are: Dick Salter, Roy Diamond and Danny Lodge.

Services will be Saturday, 8 February 2014 at 1 pm at Chumuckla Community Methodist Church, Pace, FL
