Oatmeal Fingerlings
2 c. sugar
2 c. sugar
1 stick oleo (½ c)
½ c. cocoa (don't pack)
½ c. cocoa (don't pack)
½ c. peanut butter
½ c. milk

1 c. coconut

2 c. Plain oatmeal or 3 c. quick cooking oatmeal

Combine sugar, cocoa, milk and butter in saucepan. Let boil 1 minute. Take off heat. Add vanilla, peanut butter, oatmeal, coconut and any optional ingredients. Mix well. Drop by teaspoonfuls on waxed paper or greased sheet. Let cool to harden.
Vanilla Wafers
2/3 c. butter
½ c. sugar
1 egg
2 T. Milk
1 1/4 c. flour
1 t baking powder
1/4 t. salt
2 t vanilla
Cream vanilla, add sugar, and well beaten egg. Stir in milk and vanilla. Add remaining dry ingredients well sifted together. Drop by half teaspoon on a lightly greased baking sheet, allowing room to spread. Bake in 350 oven for 10 minutes or until edge is brown.

Thanks to whomever from the school. this was a requested recipe from the reunion held in June. Mrs. Margaret Campbell made a lot of memories for the girls with these recipes.
