Joe was born on March 8, 1927 in Geneva, Alabama.
Joe was a wonderful husband, loving father and grandfather. He was a gentle loving man who will be deeply missed by his family, friends and church family members.
Joe was preceded in death by his father, William Beri Burch; mother, Margaret Elizabeth Burch; son, Joey Michael Burch and grandson, Jeffery Mark Burch.
Joe leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Norma Jean Burch; sons, Tim Burch (Teresa), Allen Burch (Kim), and Jonathan Burch (Jamie); daughter, Joyce Stewart (Paul); and special family members, Wayne and Beth Orr. He will be missed by eleven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 8, 2010 until service begins at 1:00 p.m. at New Bethel Baptist Church. Pastor Matthew Dobson will be officiating the service.
Trahan Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Jason Burch, Douglas Stewart, Christopher Burch, Timothy Burch, Brad Burch and Jarod Burch.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Larry Pearson, Wayne Orr, Paul Stewart, Mark LeFlore, Shane Black, Josh Land, Jeremy Inglis and Deacons of New Bethel Baptist Church.
The family would like to say a special thank you to the nurses and staff of Covenant Hospice for their exceptional care of their husband, father and grandfather.
