1961 - 2009
Randal L. "Randy" Touchton, 47 years young, from Chumuckla, Fl, passed away very unexpectedly on Thursday, February 19, 2009, from injuries sustained from a tragic automobile accident which occurred only miles from his home on Chumuckla Highway as he traveled to work.Randy was a wonderful person and was very special to all of those that were fortunate enough to know him. He spent most of his employment years as a mechanic with Goodyear Tire in Milton, Fl. Health concerns forced a change of career upon him and he worked the last few years of his life for Santa Rosa County as a Fog Truck Operator. He enjoyed hunting and was a member of Springhill Hunting Club. He loved racing, particularly dirt track races and Nascar. He was a jack of all trades, master at some and an incredibly giving human being. He worked hard all of his life to provide for all of those that he loved and is now finally at peace and can rest.
Randy leaves behind his wife, Kim, who will forever cherish his memory and the special bond that they shared. He is also survived by his son,Chris Touchton (Kerree King);his daughter, Jennifer (Bobby) Resmondo; two stepdaughters, Amanda (Ryan) Lazarte and Kaylene (Tra) Wilson; stepson, Tyler Jacobs. Randy was also blessed to have eight grandchildren, Bethany Touchton, Morgan, Ava and Clara Lazarte , Chastin and Courtney Wilson, Hanna and Isabella Ashcraft; his mother, Elmira Penton ; his brother, Raymond (Laura) Penton; three stepsisters, Brenda (Ray) Rivell, Linda (Pete) Reynolds, Becky (Mark) Cardona; a very special aunt who loved him as if he were her own, Geraldine (Jim) Peele ; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 24, 2009 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Lewis Funeral Home Milton Chapel. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at Lewis Funeral Home Milton Chapel with burial to follow at Crain Cemetery with Pastor Clive Knight, officiating. Honored to be pallbearers are Chris Touchton, Tyler Jacobs, Bobby Resmondo, Ryan Lazarte, Tra Wison, Raymond Penton, Kenneth Oakes, Chris McDonald and Shelton Adkinson. Randy's family would like to publicly express their appreciation for the amazing outpouring of love and prayers from everyone at this very difficult time. His memory will forever remain etched on our hearts.
