Doug Davis got a new tool to help trim his Kumquat trees because it is too hard to do from a ladder.  

Actually, this helicopter is used by a tree service out of South Carolina that trims trees for power lines all over the country. They were just taking a break for lunch and waiting for the wind to slack off some before they went back at it. The Davis farm was a convenient place to wait.  The pole is very long and has 10 blades. The whole unit weighs 800 lbs, the blades being the heaviest part. It is jointed at the base of the copter so it can be laid out horizontally as the copter lands in a backward motion.
