Obituary - A. C. Diamond

Albert Colin "A.C." Diamond went to be with his Heavenly Father on Saturday, February 4, 2006 after a short battle with lung cancer. He was born to Chip and Cora Diamond on March 17, 1932 in Jay, Florida.

Albert Colin "A.C." Diamond went to be with his Heavenly Father on Saturday, February 4, 2006 after a short battle with lung cancer. He was born to Chip and Cora Diamond on March 17, 1932 in Jay, Florida. He was a member of the Blackwater Baptist Church of Munson, Florida and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was retired from Armstrong Cork Co. where he retired after 34 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, the mother of his daughters, Murl Stewart Diamond, of Jay, and two great-grandchildren Madison and Nathan Baxley of Berrydale.

He is survived by his loving wife, Nina Fay Diamond of Munson; three daughters and sons-in-law, Gail and Kenneth Baxley of Munson; Diane and Marty Griswold, of Chumuckla; Donna and Tony Alexander of Jay; two step daughters and sons-in-law, Edith and Marvin Wolfe, of Munson; and Patricia and Andy Davis of Munson; ten grandchildren, Stewart Baxley, Stacey Grimsley, Ashley Baxley, Daniel Baxley, Daysha Cozart, Charlotte Griswold, Jason Griswold, Heather Clark, Brooke Pittman and Bryan Ellis; seven step grandchildren Sandy Foster, Randy Wolfe, Mary McCall, Julie Bush, Carrie Davis, Crystal Davis and Rannel Davis; seven great-grandchildren and eight step great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Gladysteen Renfroe, of Pace; and Erlene and Clyde Simmons of Jay; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim and Gwen Diamond of Chattanooga, Tennessee; Wayne and Janice Diamond of Kissimmee, Florida, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Diamond will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday February 8, 2006 at the Lewis Funeral Home in Milton, with the Rev. Alton Nixon officiating. Burial will follow in the Cora Baptist Church Cemetery in Jay, with Lewis Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 7, 2006 at the Lewis Funeral Home in Milton.

Pallbearers will be grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be Luther Merritt, Chapel Danley, Clyde Simmons, Carl Floyd, Duwood Mulford, Eddie VonAxelson, Phil Williams, Clayton Stewart, Paul Stewart, and Harold Oakes.
