Myrtle Mae Campbell Kilpatrick 1916 - 2011

Myrtle Mae Campbell Kilpatrick, age 95, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2011.

Myrtle was born on February 1, 1916 to the late Herbert and Julia Campbell in Chumuckla, Florida and had lived all her life in Chumuckla. She and her husband donated land for Chumuckla United Methodist Church North Campus (Chumuckla Community Church) where she was a faithful member.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of over 50 years, Willie A. Kilpatrick; son, Rodney H. Kilpatrick; brothers, Lora (Foye) Campbell, Cecil Campbell, and Willie (Callie Dee) Campbell; sisters, Christeen (Luther) Livingston, Mary Bessie (Carl) Kilpatrick; brother-in-law, Ruthard Cotton.

Myrtle is survived by one son, Gerald "Jerry" (Tryllis) Kilpatrick; a special daughter-in-law, Ruth Kilpatrick (Bud Rogers); sister, Edna Cotton; eight grandchildren; (Jerry's) Karla (Robert) Germann, Allen (Angie) Kilpatrick, Lana (Gordan), Chris and Tim Huggins; (Rodney's) Rhonda (Ricky) O'Kelley, Renee (Eddie) Tribble and Ryan Kilpatrick; eleven great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Monday, October 17, 2011 at Chumuckla Community Church with Rev. Alan Ferguson and Rev. Clive Knights, officiating. Burial to follow in Elizabeth Chapel Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5-7PM on Sunday, October 16, 2011 at Lewis Funeral Home Pace Chapel.

Active Pallbearers: Deleon Livingston, Wayne Kilpatrick, Mike Johns, Ronnie Cotton and Greg Cotton.

Honorary Pallbearers: Annie Lord, Wynona Griswold, Barbara Johns, Lavern Howell, Willard Davis and T.J. O'Kelley.

The family thanks Rita and Barbara for giving her the best of care, Barbara Johns for helping her and loving her and Pam Bowman and Emerald Coast Hospice for their care in our time of need.
