RESSIE NORINE HOPKINS KIMMONS

1920-2009

Ressie Norine Hopkins Kimmons, 88 of Pensacola, returned to her loving Heavenly Father on January 26, 2009. She was born in Chumuckla, FL on September 19, 1920.
Mrs. Kimmons retired from Mayes Printing Company and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She enjoyed spending time with her family and cooking.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Edward Kimmons; her parents, Ruby and Isaac Hopkins; her brothers, Larence Hopkins, Perry Hopkins, Barney Hopkins, Henry Hopkins, Zollie Hopkins, Rollie Hopkins; and her sons, Reginald Kimmons and D.E. Kimmons.
Mrs. Kimmons is survived by her sons, Maxwell and Reba Kimmons of Birmingham, AL, Otis and Fran Kimmons of Pensacola, FL, Dannie and Iris Kimmons of Clawson, MI; her grandchildren, Regina Lewis, Daniel Kimmons, Richard Kimmons, Edward Kimmons, Theresa Linder, David Kimmons, Angela Chancelor, Otis Kimmons Jr., Sheri Frazier, Keith Kimmons, Natalie Kimmons, and Janet Carter; and 20+ great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Etta Ard.
Visitation will be held Thursday, January 29, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Friday, January 30, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Bishop James Schoonover officiating and Brother Gene Ball assisting.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Joyce Goldenberg Hospice Residence.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Covenant Hospice, Zelda, Sunday and Staff for their loving support during this difficult time.
