That thrust of the family still thrives in the Thomas, Jr. branch. Milton was a hard worker and a strong woman who reared a family now large and widely dispersed over the country and even the world. It seems a lot of that strength must have come from her Mother, Mrs Lula Kimbrough who lived across the road from my Grandma - Dessie Campbell. As a kid , I would see Mrs. Kimbrough working the flower beds in her yard - well into her 80's. Milton was much the same in her approach to life - and - I think - her children carry the same ethic.
